BEEF STEW | |
1/2 c. flour 2 lb. beef stew meat 5 med. potatoes 5 carrots 1/2 c. chopped onion 2 beef bouillon cubes 1 c. chopped celery Season to taste with salt & pepper Coat meat with flour and brown in small amount of shortening. Add onion and lightly fry. In large saucepan add about 7-8 cups water, put meat, onion and bouillon cubes in and simmer covered for 2 hours. Prepare vegetables cutting them in small pieces. Stir in vegetables and simmer 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Serving size 6. |
