LAYERED SALAD | |
1 sm. head of lettuce, shredded 1 c. diced celery 4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced 1 (10 oz.) frozen peas 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped 1 c. grated carrots 1 sm. onion, diced 8 slices fried bacon, crumbled 1 can water chestnuts LAYERED SALAD DRESSING: 2 c. mayonnaise 2 tbsp. sugar Layer salad ingredients as listed, starting with lettuce in 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread salad dressing on top. (I like to put water chestnuts on top of salad dressing.) Cover and refrigerate overnight. |
