LAYERED ENCHILADA PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
6 tortillas, buttered
1 can chopped ripe olives (4 1/2 oz.)
1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese (or Monterey Jack)
1 c. water

Brown ground beef and onion. Add seasonings and tomato sauce. In a casserole, place alternate layers of buttered tortillas, meat sauce, olives and cheese. Add water, cover and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Serves 6.
