LAYERED ENCHILADA PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 c. water
1 1/2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
6 tortillas, spread with butter
1 (4 1/2 oz.) can chopped ripe olives

Brown ground beef and onion; add seasonings and tomato sauce. In a casserole alternate layers of buttered tortillas, meat sauce, olives, and cheese. Add water, cover and bake in hot oven 400 degree for 20 minutes. Cut into wedges with a sharp knife; use a pie server to remove each serving. Serves 6.
