ASPARAGUS CHEESE CASSEROLE 
1 tbsp. chopped onion
3 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
2 c. canned asparagus, drained
3 hard cooked eggs, sliced
1 c. buttered bread, crumbs

Saute onions in butter until tender. Blend in flour. Add milk, slowly, stirring constantly and cook until mixture thickens. Add salt, pepper and cheese; mix well. Alternate layers of asparagus with egg slices in a buttered casserole. Top with buttered crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
