LEMON GLAZE POUND CAKE | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. Crisco 4 eggs 3 c. plain flour, sifted 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. buttermilk 2 tbsp. lemon flavoring 1 tbsp. vanilla flavoring 1 tbsp. almond flavoring Cream sugar and Crisco; add eggs one at a time alternating with flour, one cup at a time. Add soda, salt, buttermilk, and flavorings. Pour mixture into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. GLAZE: 2 c. powdered sugar 1/2 tsp. lemon juice Mix well and drizzle over cooled cake. |
