PINEAPPLE POUND CAKE WITH GLAZE | |
1/2 c. shortening 1 c. butter 2 3/4 c. sugar 6 eggs 3 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. crushed pineapple, undrained 1 tsp. baking powder PINEAPPLE GLAZE: 1/4 c. butter 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar 1 c. crushed pineapple Combine shortening, butter and sugar. Cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Combine flour and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk and vanilla. Pour batter in a greased and floured pan. Start in cold oven, 325 degrees for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Glaze: Combine ingredients for glaze and pour over cake. |
