YAKIMA APPLE PUDDING 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 egg
1 c. nutmeats
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. chopped apples

Blend butter, sugar and syrup. Add egg and beat well. Sift dry ingredient and stir into creamed mixture. Mix apples and nuts and stir into batter. Pour into a greased 9 inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until done. Serve warm or cold with the following sauce.

BUTTER SAUCE:

Cream 1/2 cup butter. Gradually cream in 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Set aside.

In small saucepan slowly stir 1 cup cold water into 1 tbsp. cornstarch. Cook and stir until thick and clear. Stir hot mixture in creamed mixture. Add 1 tsp. vinegar and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Serve warm.
