MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1 can cream style corn
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 jalapeno
Cheddar cheese
Crisco
1 1/2 lb. hamburger meat
1 med. onion

Fry hamburger meat; drain. In iron skillet melt 1/2 c. Crisco; when hot sprinkle meal in and brown.

Mix together milk, eggs, corn, soda, salt, and jalapeno to make batter. Then pour 1/2 batter in the skillet; add hamburger meat, then add 3/4 lb. grated cheddar cheese, one onion chopped, and pour rest of batter on top. Cook 35-45 minutes on 375 degrees.
