CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE MONSTERS 
1 1/3 c. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
2 egg
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. maple flavoring
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. or more of cut up pecans or walnuts
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips, semi-sweet

Mix thoroughly butter, sugars, eggs, and flavorings. Add flour and soda; mix well. Add nuts and chocolate chips. Drop rounded teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes. Cookies should be slightly shiny on top and just starting to brown on bottom (raw looking). Cool slightly before removing from sheet. This is a double recipe otherwise they disappear before they hit the serving plate. Crispy outside, soft inside.
