TOLL HOUSE MICROWAVE CHOCOLATE
OATRAGE SNACK CAKE
 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 1/3 c. oats (quick or old fashioned), uncooked
1/2 c. flour
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (opt.)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate morsels, divided

In large bowl, combine butter, oats, flour, brown sugar, eggs, walnuts and vanilla. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed or until mixture is light and fluffy. Stir in 1 cup chocolate morsels. Spread batter in 8" square microwave baking dish; cover dish with waxed paper. Microwave on High for 4 minutes; rotate dish 1/4 turn and microwave on High 4 to 5 minutes longer or until top of cake appears dry.

Sprinkle remaining 1 cup chocolate morsels over top of warm cake. Let stand for 10 minutes then spread chocolate evenly over cake. Cool directly on counter top. Cut into serving pieces. Makes 8 to 10 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
