CANNED APPLES 
4 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
10 c. water

Combine all ingredients. Cook until real thick and fluffy. Remove from heat and add 3 teaspoons lemon juice. Pour mixture over apples (8 quart jars filled with peeled and sliced McIntosh apples). Cook 20 minutes in canner.
