1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, butter and egg. Add vanilla and flour. Roll out onto floured board, thin. Cut with your favorite cookie cutter and bake on ungreased cookie sheet 7-9 minutes.
