JEWELED CRANBERRY PIE 
3-4 c. washed cranberries
1 c. chopped walnuts
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
6 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. butter, melted

CREAMY TOPPING:

1 c. cottage cheese
2 tbsp. milk
1/4 lb. (4 oz.) cream cheese
1 tbsp. powdered sugar

Into buttered pie pan, pour cranberries, walnuts, and 3/4 cup sugar. Mix next 4 ingredients and pour over cranberries. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. (When cranberries are available, buy several extra packages and freeze.) This pie is great with ice cream or creamy topping.

TOPPING: Blend cottage cheese with milk in blender. Add cream cheese and powdered sugar.
