CABBAGE IN CHEESE SAUCE 
3 lbs. shredded cabbage
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. minced onion
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. milk
1 1/4 c. grated Swiss cheese
2 tbsp. dry bread crumbs

Cook cabbage in boiling water for 8 minutes or just until tender. Melt butter in saucepan and saut onion for 5 minutes. Blend in flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Add milk and stir until boiling; cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Stir in 3/4 c. cheese until melted. Add cabbage and turn into greased baking dish. Top with bread crumbs mixed with cheese.

Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
