FRENCH GARDEN PEAS MADE
THROUGHOUT EUROPE
 
1 1/2 c. green peas (1 1/2 lbs. in pods)
1 c. shredded lettuce
3 green onions, sliced
2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Heat all ingredients to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer until peas are tender, about 8 minutes. 10 ounces frozen green peas can be used for the fresh.
