BAKED CHICKEN ITALIAN STYLE (LOW
CALORIE RECIPE)
 
1 1/2 lbs. chicken thighs or breasts
1 c. tomato juice
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Heat oven to 375°F. Wash chicken parts. Dry on paper towel. Put tomato juice in baking dish, roll chicken in tomato juice leaving the chicken skin side down. Sprinkle spices over chicken.

Bake one hour in 375°F oven. Turn chicken over and bake an additional 1/2 hour, or until tomato juice is absorbed by chicken.

Makes two servings when skin and bones have been removed.
