EASY MICROWAVE BREAD AND BUTTER
PICKLES
 
1 lg. cucumber, sliced 1/4 thick (2 c.)
1 med. onion, sliced thin (3/4 c.)
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. white vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1/4 tsp. celery seeds
1/4 tsp. turmeric

Mix all ingredients in 2 quart microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high 7 to 8 minutes, stirring twice until cucumber is crisp tender and onion is transparent. Ladle into glass jar rinsed with boiling water. Cover, cool slightly and put in refrigerator.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
