OLD FASHIONED APPLE PIE 
Pastry for 2-crust pie
3/4 - 1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 - 1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
6-7 c. sliced, peeled apples (2 - 2 1/2 lbs.)
2 tbsp. butter

Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and apples. Pour into pie crust. Dot with butter. Follow instructions with pie crust to finish top crust and bake.

NOTE: Amount of sugar will vary with tartness of apples.
