OVEN BBQ SPARERIBS 
3-4 lb. spareribs (cut up)
1 lemon, sliced with peel
1 lg. onion, thinly sliced
1 c. ketchup
2 c. water
1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
2-3 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. salt

Place spareribs fat side up in a shallow roasting pan. Put a thin slice of lemon and onion on each piece of meat. Roast in very hot oven (450 degrees) for 1/2 hour.

Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour sauce over ribs. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and roast for about 45-60 minutes (until meat is tender). Baste ribs every 15 minutes with the sauce from the pan. Add water if needed.
