FRIED GREEN TOMATOES | |
1 1/2 c. cornmeal 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 3 med. green tomatoes, cut into 3/4" slices 1/2 c. oil Salt and pepper tomato slices. Dip into cornmeal; heat about 1/2 cup oil in skillet on top of stove until hot. Place each slice in pan. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towel and place on serving dish. Serves 4-5. |
