COCOONS (PECAN COOKIES) 
2 c. butter
5 tbsp. sugar
2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped pecans
Powdered sugar

Let butter soften. Cream butter and sugar together. Add flour, then fold in vanilla and pecans. Roll into oblong shapes about the size of your small finger. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly brown. Cool, then roll in powdered sugar. Yields: about 3 dozen.
