DANISH KLIENER 
12 egg yolks
4 whole eggs
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. cream
1/8 lb. melted butter
7-8 c. flour
2-3 c. shortening, very hot

Beat eggs and sugar. Add cream and butter. Stir in flour to make batter very stiff. Chill overnight.

Roll out in small batches. Cut dough, u sing pastry cutter into diamonds. Make slit in center of diamond and pull top down through slit, to make a bow. Cook in deep fat until golden brown 6-8 at a time. Cool on brown paper and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 12 dozen.
