FRENCH SILK PIE 
1 stick butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 baked pie shell
Sweetened whipped cream

Cream butter and sugar in a bowl. Melt chocolate over boiling water and stir into creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Add 1 egg and beat with electric mixer for 5 minutes. Add remaining egg and beat 5 minutes longer. Pour into pie shell and top with whipped cream. Chill.

Beaten egg white meringue may be used instead of whipped cream.
