HOLIDAY YAMS 
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. corn oil butter
3 lbs. sweet potatoes or yams
1 c. pecan pieces
1 c. pure maple syrup

In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, allspice, cinnamon and salt. With pastry blender, cut in butter. Set aside.

Grease a 10x3 inch casserole dish. Peel sweet potatoes and cut into 1/2 inch slices. Put sprinkle with remaining crumb mix. Top with pecans and drizzle maple syrup over all.

Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove cover and continue baking 20 minutes or until sweet potatoes are tender. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
