WELSH COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 c. shortening (part butter, opt.)
1 egg, well beaten, add milk to make 1 c.

Put beaten egg in cup and fill with milk. Mix flour, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, baking powder and salt. Work in shortening and then add raisins, egg and milk. Roll out thin on floured board and cut with cookie cutter. Bake slowly on ungreased griddle. Or can bake in oven at 375 degrees.
