SWISS STEAK 
1 lb. round steak
1/4 c. flour
Dash of pepper
2 tbsp. shortening
1 can onion soup
1/2 soup can of water
4 med. carrots, cut in 2 inch pieces
4 med. potatoes, cut in half
2 tbsp. chopped parsley

Step 1: Pound flour and pepper into steak.

Step 2: Brown in shortening (use oven-proof skillet or transfer to casserole for baking).

Step 3: Add soup, water, carrots and potatoes.

Step 4: Bake covered 1 1/4 hours at 350 degrees. Uncover; bake 15 minutes longer.

Step 5: Top with chopped parsley.
