FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
Baked 8 or 9 inch pie shell
1 qt. fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Whipped cream topping

Clean berries, place half of them (whole or halved) on baked shell. Crush remaining berries in saucepan and bring to boiling point.

Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch, stir into boiling mixture. Stir constantly until thick and clear. Pour over berries in shell and then chill. Serve with whipped cream topping.
