7-UP SALAD | |
6 oz. pkg. lemon jello 2 c. boiling water 16 oz. bottle 7-Up, chilled 2 c. miniature marshmallows 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained but save juice 2 large bananas, cut into small pieces Dissolve jello in hot water; cool. Add 7-Up. Pour in 9 x 13 pan. Cool until congealing begins. Add pineapple, bananas and marshmallows. When congealed, frost with dressing. Dressing for 7-Up Salad: 1 c. pineapple juice 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1 egg 2 tbsp. butter 8 oz. container Cool Whip Blend sugar and flour. Moisten with pineapple juice; add beaten egg. Cook slowly, stirring to prevent sticking. (Can use microwave.) When thick, add butter and cool. Add Cool Whip, blending thoroughly. Frost salad and refrigerate until serving time. |
