1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. melted butter
1/3 c. evaporated milk
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts
14 oz. pkg. caramels (Krafts)

Mix cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk together and pour 1/2 of mixture into 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle chocolate chips over cake. Next sprinkle 1 cup nuts. Melt caramels with 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Pour over nuts. Add rest of cake mix (with fingers). Bake 15 minutes more at 350 degrees. Cool and cut into bars.
