1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix (18 1/2 oz.) 3/4 c. melted butter 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate pieces 1 c. chopped nuts 50 caramels (1 bag) 1/3 c. evaporated milk Mix together cake mix, melted butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Spread half of this in a lightly greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate pieces and the nuts on top of the partially baked cake mixture. Melt the caramels with the remaining evaporated milk and drizzle over chocolate and nuts. Crumble and put remaining cake mixture on top. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cut when cool. |
