SPECIAL CREAMED CELERY 
1 bunch celery
3 tsp. butter
1 tsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1 c. half and half
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. slivered almonds

Cut 1/4 inch diagonal pieces of celery. Cook in salted water for 5 minutes, crisp tender. Drain well.

Melt butter, add flour and make a smooth paste. Add half and half, cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add cream cheese. Mix with celery. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
