SPAGHETTI SAUCE WITH BACON 
1/4 tsp. minced garlic
1 onion
1/3 c. olive oil
1 (20 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tbsp. minced parsley
1 can tomato paste
1/2 lb. bacon (diced)
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. sugar

In large saucepan blend garlic, olive oil, stewed tomatoes, basil, oregano, parsley, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and sugar. Fry bacon in skillet, not crisp. Add to sauce. Brown diced onion in bacon grease. Add to sauce. Empty grease and brown ground beef barely. Add to sauce. Simmer one hour. Pour over cooked spaghetti. Serves 5. (Easy to double recipe and, if not used, can be frozen.)
