RUTH AND CHARLIE'S SHORTBREAD | |
2 (8 inch) round cake pans 3/4 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg, well beaten 3 c. flour 1 c. rice flour 1 tsp. baking powder Cream sugar into butter. Add egg. Gradually add sifted dry ingredients. Makes stiff even textured dough. Divide dough equally. Press dough into pans evenly. Puncture all over with fork. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour or until pale brown. Yields 2 rounds. |
