SESAME COOKIES (FROM SESAME STREET) | |
3 tbsp. sesame seeds 1/2 c. light brown sugar 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. chunky peanut butter 1 egg 1 1/3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. nutmeg Bake sesame seed in preheated 350 degree oven on ungreased cookie sheet until golden, about 10 minutes. Set aside. Cream sugars and butter until smooth. Beat in peanut butter and egg. Combine flour, 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, salt, baking soda, and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture, mixing until blended. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a floured fork. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Yields: approximately 4 dozen cookies. |
