CHOCOLATE WAFFLE COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 sq. (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Cream sugar and butter. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Drop by teaspoon into hot waffle iron. Make several at a time, dropping them 1 inch apart. Close cover and let them cook about 1 minute. They are light brown when done. Dry on a wire rack for a few minutes. Frost with chocolate cream frosting. Makes about 50 cookies.
