FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. Wesson oil
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 med. can fruit cocktail

Beat sugar, eggs and oil together until creamy. Add the sifted salt, soda and flour alternately with fruit cocktail. Beat thoroughly in mixer. Pour in pan and add (sprinkled over the batter) : 1/2 c. Angel Flake coconut

Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.

ICING:

3/4 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. pecans

Boil the sugar and butter 1 1/2 minutes. Add the vanilla, coconut and pecans; spread on warm cake.
