FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail and juice
2 eggs

Sift together sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt. In mixer, beat fruit cocktail and juice and eggs. Add flour mixture to eggs and fruit cocktail in mixer. Beat well. Pour mixture into greased and floured 8 x 11 1/2 inch pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cook 45 minutes at 325 degrees.

ICING:

3/4 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut

Cook 2 minutes on medium heat. Pour over hot cake.
