QUICK BANANA CAKE 
Cake:

1 box yellow cake mix
eggs and water as directed on cake mix box
1/4 c. oil
2 medium bananas, mashed
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. ground walnuts

Combine cake mix, eggs, water, oil and baking soda and beat as directed on cake mix box. Fold in bananas and walnuts. Pour into a floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

Bake according to directions on cake mix box.

Frosting:

2 sticks butter
1 c. Crisco or solid vegetable shortening
1 1/3 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and butter. Add sugar gradually until very light and airy. Blend flour and milk together (use shaker, blender or mixer). Slowly add flour and milk mixture to shortening and sugar. Add vanilla and continue beating on high speed until light and there is no gritty feel from sugar. Spread on cooled cake.
