CHERRY CANDY 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
2/3 c. water

Boil these ingredients to the soft ball stage, then pour slowly while beating over 2 egg whites which have been beaten stiff. Continue beating until mixture holds its shape. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, chopped maraschino cherries and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
