BANANA CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
8 tbsp. cocoa powder
6 tbsp. flour
2 1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted butter
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 lg. ripe banana, slice & set aside
1 BAKED deep dish pie shell
Whipped cream for topping

Need double boiler for boiling water. Combine all dry ingredients in top of double boiler. Slowly add some of the milk, then gradually all the rest until smoothly blended. Keep stirring until mixture starts to boil and gets thick. Continue to cook about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, beat egg yolks in small bowl. Add melted butter and vanilla. Slowly pour egg mixture into THICKENED chocolate pudding, until well blended. Stir until smooth. Remove from top boiler and allow to cool. When completely cooled pour into baked pie shell. Place sliced banana on top of pie in circle. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours or more. Top with whipped cream when ready to serve.
