BUTTERMILK SPICE CAKE 
1 c. Wesson oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Sift 1/2 cup of flour over raisins and nuts. Combine all other ingredients and beat until smooth. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour into floured and greased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

SAUCE:

3/4 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 stick butter

Combine ingredients and heat until bubbly. Pour over hot cake right from oven. Remove cake from pan when completely cool.
