CORN BREAD 
2 boxes Jiffy cornbread mix
1 sm. can creamed corn
2 tbsp. melted shortening
3 eggs
2/3 c. buttermilk
Pinch baking soda (to neutralize buttermilk)

Blend ingredients and mix well. Pour into well greased prepared pan and bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.

Variation: 1/2 cup white or dark raisins may be substituted for the creamed corn.
