QUICK DINNER ROLLS | |
3 c. flour 2 cakes or pkgs. yeast 1/4 c. lukewarm water 1 1/4 c. milk 3 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 4 tbsp. shortening Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Heat milk, salt, sugar, and shortening in small saucepan until warm. Cool to lukewarm and add yeast and water. Stir in flour. Mix well (may mix in processor). Cover with damp cloth and let rise in warm place until light and double in bulk, about 15 minutes. Cut off pieces of dough with a soup spoon and shape into balls with well greased hands. Place 3 balls in greased muffin tins. Let rise again for about 20 minutes or until light. Bake in 375-400 degree F. oven about 15 minutes. |
