CRANBERRY BREAD | |
2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. sugar 1 beaten egg 2 tbsp. melted butter 2 tbsp. hot water 1/2 c. orange juice 1/4 c. grated orange rind Sift together dry ingredients; set aside. Combine moist ingredients. Add all moist ingredients to dry sifted ingredients. Stir until well moistened. Add 1 cup cut cranberries and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes in 2 well-greased 1 pound loaf pans. Serve chilled. |
