GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE 
1/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. milk
2 beaten egg yolks
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (4 oz.) German chocolate, broken up
1 (8-inch) baked pie shell

Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Add milk, chocolate, and butter. Cook and stir until bubbly. Reduce heat; cook 2 minutes. Stir some of hot mix into egg yolks. Stir back into saucepan. Cook and stir 2 minutes more. Add vanilla; pour into shell.

TOPPING:

1 egg
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/4 c. butter
1 1/3 c. coconut
1 c. pecans

Cook and stir until bubbly, egg, egg yolk, sugar, milk, and butter. Add coconut and pecans. Spread on top of chocolate.
