SPAGHETTI SAUCE | |
2 lb. ground chuck 1 large can tomato sauce 2 cans tomato paste 1 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 tbsp. pepper 1/2 to 1 tsp. Italian spices (optional) 2 to 3 onions, chopped fine 1/8 c. sugar 3 tbsp. chili powder 1 tbsp. salt 1 green pepper, chopped fine Mix all together in large bowl. Put in crock-pot on high until hot and then cook on low for 2 to 3 hours. Tips: Regular hamburger - too much fat comes to the top, so use lean ground chuck. Can also use this as hot dog sauce. Can cook in large pan on top of stove; only difference is that it bubbles and splatters and makes more of a mess. Crock-pot with lid on is cleaner way to cook it. |
