PIZZA-LASAGNA-SPAGHETTI SAUCE | |
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces, drained well, if desired 1 tsp. Italian spices, Durkee, or more to taste 1 tsp. garlic salt (omit for pizza sauce 1/2 c. water (omit for pizza sauce) 1 sm. onion, diced 1 lb. ground beef, cooked and well drained 1/2 tsp. sugar Enough for 2 pizzas. Freezes well. Cook and drain ground beef; drain well. Set aside. Mix tomato sauce, paste, and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered. Add spices and diced onion,. This sauce gets better the longer it simmers. Check it see if it looks "dry" and add water if needed. Can be used at once if desired. For lasagna and spaghetti, add cooked ground beef and mushroom pieces and bring to a boil before serving. For pizza, spread cooked sauce over dough. Sprinkle with cooked meat and mushrooms before baking. Top with Mozzarella cheese. |
