PIZZA WITH HOMEMADE CRUST AND
SAUCE

CRUST:

1 pkg. yeast (about 1 tbsp.)
Approx. 1 c. warm water
Pinch of sugar
2 dashes of salt
2 tbsp. oil
Flour

SAUCE:

1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. crushed garlic
1-2 tbsp. sugar
Oregano to taste

CRUST: Put warm water, sugar and yeast in large bowl. Let dissolve. Stir in salt and oil. Gradually add flour until it's a slightly sticky consistency for pizza crust. Do not let it rise.

Thoroughly grease a large cookie sheet or pizza pan with Crisco using your bare hands. With greasy fingers pat crust onto pan. Next mix all ingredients for sauce adding as much or little oregano as you'd like. (I put 2 to 3 tablespoons.) Spread over crust and then top with your favorite toppings.

I didn't use the crust recipe. We just defrost one of the frozen bread loaves and then roll it out. I used the sauce recipe, because I was sick of wasting money on store bought sauce. This sauce is delicious. I wanted to eat it plain it was so good. LOVED it!
