SPRITZ COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
Jar maraschino cherries

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, egg yolks and vanilla thoroughly. Work in flour. Press dough through a cookie press into desired shapes or roll into tiny balls and flatten on an ungreased cookie sheet. Top with half a maraschino cherry and bake 7 to 10 minutes or until set but not brown. NOTE: These cookies do not spread, so they can be spaced closely together.
